Columbus Public Health is looking to hire an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Program Manager. This position is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Abuse Program.
Working with staff and management from Prevention and Treatment Services on initiatives to address alcohol and drug abuse issues
Working with funders, partners, policy makers, and the community to promote services and consider options to hone and expand program services
Representing Columbus Public Health with alcohol and drug related health issues on local and state committees and boards
Overseeing the collection of data, data analysis and reporting for all of the AOD programs
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience managing health services or educational programming, two (2) years of which involved supervision. Substitution(s): Possession of a master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required nonsupervisory experience. Preferred qualifications include a Licensed Social Worker of Ohio, Chemical Dependency Counselor, or Prevention Specialist.

This position reports directly to the Family Health Administrator and must be able to work with a high degree of independence and discretion. This position includes supervision; must lead, coach, manage and mentor subordinate managers and staff. This includes being a part of the hiring process, training, assigning work, evaluating performance and assisting with development of career goals and disciplinary actions.
